I think I remember posts here including an audio player console loaded with an audio clip that plays with a single click.
How is that done, please?

There are so many way to do
There are so many way to do it… but for a very simple and free method of playing just a single mp3 file, I have often uploaded the mp3 to my dropbox account and then used http://boomp3.com to create the script which can be pasted into the html
1. Upload your mp3 file to your dropbox account and then share the link and copy the address. (if you don’t have a dropbox account, then get one, it’s free)
2. Go to boomp3 and paste the address in the box – it will then give you the script; copy it.
3. Past the script into the source html where you want the mp3 player to be (for example here while your making a post you would select the text format as “Full HTML”, then you can paste in the code.
by clicking the blue arrow it will play, or by clicking the text link it can be downloaded.

Thanks
I’ll give it a try.

Not Quite as Expected
I didn’t find any script to paste in to this Pt15us post, but below is a link to the audio file.
This is a 40-sec clip of what I heard from a 530 kHz TIS station 33 miles away from me, using the stock radio in my 2016 Toyota Corolla (parked in my famous driveway).
If the TIS station exactly meets its FCC-maximum field of 2 mV/m at a horizontal distance of 1.5 km from the radiator, then for the 33 mile, 15 mS/m path to my place it should have a field intensity of about 30 microvolts/meter.
Nothing that anyone would want to listen to for long, but it does show that even an extremely weak AM broadcast band signal can be detected by a good receiver in a location with low r-f noise.
I didn’t find any script to paste in to this Pt15us post,
Rich, on that same page which you have linked above, it says directly below the player “Embed player in your blog” – click that link and it will reveal a single line of script for you to copy.

Not at First
When I used Firefox on my laptop to go to the Boomp3 site and linked my mp3, the offer of the script didn’t appear. Later I went to that site on my Smartphone, and it did. But I just let my post stand as it was. Thanks for your help.

Further Discussion on the Subject
As a follower of this thread I have spent time reflecting on my limited knowledge on the subject.
We are talking about making an mp3 audio file available by link from a home computer.
The same problem exists for linking a picture image, video file or PDF document.
The free Icecast and Shoutcast servers don’t do it because they only allow running a continuous stream from a home computer.
However, the open source Abyss Web Server accomplishes the task, and even though it can be used to provide a full-fledged website from a home computer (as several of us do), it could be used to offer download links only, minus the website components, which amount to html files.
With Abyss, an archive_file would contain the publicly offered files, a link pointing to the home IP address/Abyss/htdocs/archive_file/file_name would allow a working download link so long as the computer was online and the IP address of the internet connection currently active.

Well, this forum or any website can be set up to allow permissions to upload pictures or mp3s directly from a home computer.. In fact that used to be a common feature on most discussion forums, but you rarely see that anymore due to security issues.
I don’t see the advantage of using Abyss as a means to offer download links, it would be extreamly limiting and dependant on a single computer.. There are so may free alternate, simpler, more secure, and dependable methods to accomplish the same thing.. all you need is a storage spot.. dropbox, blogger, googledrive, skydrive, free web servers… there’s probally hundreds of free places to store files – which inturn makes it simple to post pictures or mp3 files in a forum.
I think Abyss and/or other home servers are a very cool thing, but doesn’t seem a good option for what’s described here… Or maybe I’ve just not perceived what you propose correctly.

Since I haven’t proposed anything I’ve therefore been percieved incorrectly.
I’ve simply shown yet another way of getting the job done, alongside anything else that works.
