Was fooling around and came across this site to make free websites and just for fun I did one of my soon to be on AM hobby station. I can delete it but how does anyone on line come across it? Would it ever be seen?
Here it is https://soloist.ai/boomer1630
Nice...Looks great Mark.
It does look sharp.
Re did it but still don't know how anyone would ever see this.
Post it on your flyers, in forums, in signatures and wherever else a website address is commonly displayed.
(I actually liked the look of the first one over the one now)
@richpowers It's useless without a listen live link but I was just fooling around.
I changed it a bit so the link at the top will work. It doesn't work here as address is duplicated.

@mark I don't think it's useless without a stream. It's still an online presence not only for your local listeners who maybe want to check your program schedule or contact or whatever.. But also for people like us who just like to pop in and see what's new at that part 15 station halfway across the country(s).
An online presence is good, if nothing else but just to show you exist beyond 200 ft.
It's not useless without a listen link. Mine doesn't have one. I could do it, the network I'm affiliated with offers a service to stream. But copyright and license fees are preventing that.
@wefr I don't stream anyways but it takes about 5 days for it to get on to the google listings unless I delete it. But how would someone ever come across it? It's lost in the vastness. I didn't want to narrow it down to the specific area of Toronto. The contact actually works!
What would someone have to look up to see it? But if anyone asks...yeah, I have a web site!
@mark You could always make a promo to air. You can put things like a program schedule and other information related to the station. I don't put a physical address/location on mine. I have a website/FB/Bluesky promo that airs every hour or so, when I don't have a community announcement in that slot.
@wefr I have jingles that I made with imagingthing that come on every 15 minutes and an announcement at the top of each hour with my voice with station ID....you are tuned to...etc, etc, and OTR times. I could announce the website but I'll think about that one!
Not much changes on my website. Most of the activity I get is from Facebook and Bluesky. That's where I post news and events. Website is mainly program information and other details about the station and network information. The socials link to it. I don't have jingles, I have imagining/positioning liners and show promos most are made by the program hosts that's tagged with positioning/imagining.
Also Top and Bottom of Hour IDs

in reference to your announcing the website..
Your overthinking it, unless you have no interest or knowing for sure what your schedule is to be in which case pre-announcing what your schedule is would be problematic.
but you dont have to pre-announce anything, just do what you do and let it be. Your website address provides access to your station, regardless if it actually gets to hear you live or not. - It provides connection, which is a substantial foundation.
Looks nice.
I've actually thought about taking mine down.
