Their not cheap at $150, but it sure looks sharp to be a crystal radio. But I cant help but wonder if all those fancy knobs and dials really do anything (?). I aint buying, but do really like the look of it.

Looks interesting. Quite complex for a crystal radio. Some active electronics at the right bottom with a display? Seems more than just crystal radio.
Yes, that component at the bottom right is a battery powered fm receiver that comes with a remote. You can zoom in the picture better by Clicking here.

Couldnt find a video demonstration. Surprisingly they cost more from Ali Express than if you buy it local.
There are some similar models for $99 but not as attractive, see here; this one mounts the fm on the back,

I would buy this if it were some kind of kit for $60. Me likes the steam punk of sorts. Reminds me of my dads old ohm and volt meter collection from the 1930's.
@centinel The first one looks 1930s, the other looks 1970s to me. I like the black 1930s one and wonder just how functional it could be. I suspect it looks better than it actually works.
I just noticed in the second picture it shows what looks like a microphone plugged into the crystal radio. What the hells up with that??

This is a little off topic, but there are some QRP transmitters called Hi Tops that are in and out of production. They have a little bit of a retro look, and it's their look that caught my attention originally. I was also looking for QRP transmitters. None of them are inexpensive.
I guess if these radio makers of the AM medium wave stuff can get the knobs and dials old school that could make things kinda classy. Probably does look better than function. But I must be candid, I look for performance and bang for the buck. This is a hobby after all.
