It is nice but doesn't mean much to me to see all the wires and components of the device. It probably would if I had ever built something myself, then I'm sure I would have greater appreciation at looking at others labor.

Yeah looks complicated to me! But all I'm worried about is it's performance. Thanks for posting it though. Are those pictures of yours?

@richpowers Yes, that's mine. But just for you to see how it's quite the job to build them.

Well I just placed my order. It was $199 and $14 shipping. I'm really curious if it'll produce any 'loudness".. I don't really expect it to. I recall my old Aphex Compellor did a wonderful job processing on its own but it wasn't until I followed it with the Dominator that I had achieved any noticable loudness to my signal.

You know now $200 seems like a lot more money to me than it used too! I felt quite hesitant this morning clicking "buy it now", spending that much for a single piece of gear, even though I know it's really a bargain price - I've spent more for less in the past. To be honest I'm not sure I would have bought it at all if I hadn't of already contacted him and asked him to build me one. It's one thing to consider buying something and another to actually throw the cash on the counter. - I hope it makes a noticable difference - that's what I keep thinking - I've got the feeling I'm still going to need to add something like a Dominator to make a real difference, but we'll see.

@richpowers Didn't he have a "make an offer" with the listing? Usually he had this before.
Maybe since this was a special order he didn't include that.

But it does a good job of keeping the audio levels constant when the input varies. I don't know how much that will translate into actual loudness but his demo shows it does.

@mark No, not this time. I saw where in August he had it listed for $189 or Best Offer and it had sold for something less than the asking price, it doesn't show what the offer price had been. But this time he listed it for $199 Buy it Now and with no option to make an offer.

In this case I had actually asked him to build me one, he doesn't really list them anymore - in fact the one he had listed in August was only because I asked him why he no longer list them and he had replied that he would go ahead and construct another soon and he would list it on eBay, but that's all I asked, I never said I was going to actually buy one.

This time was different, I told him I would buy one on the first of the month (when I get my SS check), he said he'd build one when he got back from vacation and list it on the first. We never actually talked cost. I noticed he actually listed it yesterday but I had to wait till today to buy it.

I guess that's why there was no make offer this time.
