Legal signal up. A thousand things to do, but license to cover can be filed for this month.
Co-channel interference from WBGE Bainbridge GA is pretty bad. Not quite at full power here as engineers continue to work on tech stuff. But..on the air at last!

Thanks!
Once testing is complete I will then file Form 319 for license to cover. Our status will change at that point.

Sounds Like
Sounds like the hard part is over and now WDXD will be able to sail the FM seas in peace with heavenly country music.
A true story of great achievement.

I’d Love to get my Internet Station on LPFM
I’d love to get my Internet station on LPFM, but it would cost way too much for an individual to do. If I could get my broadcast on a LPFM station now that would be awesome. But for now I’m dealing with micro broadcasting. Great to see more LPFM stations actually playing music that no one else will.

Filed for license to cover
Application for WDXD license to cover filed, and “accepted for filing” by the FCC.
WDXD-LP 101.9 is now legally on air in Tallahassee.
Around mid-July I will stream local WDXD programming on the Live365 stream already in place. Country format will remain.

Costs
It cost roughly $27k for WDXD’s construction.
$13k was for tower construction. The remainder was for our trailer building, equipment, transmitter, engineering fees, and the tower itself.
Through donations, sponsors and fundraisers, we have raised roughly $13,700 so far.
Ultimately, the LPFM will be the program hub. We will distribute our local content via Live365, Athena365, TuneIn, and CXRadios.

Major Success Story
radioboy you are amazing to keep at it and get it done the way you have.
I am thinking that you are very happy with WDXD and will enjoy every day running Big D Country for listeners all around.
Many thanks for keeping us up to date as things have developed.

Thanks, Carl!
It has been quite a journey so far.
The FCC granted the license to cover on Monday, June 29. WDXD-LP is fully licensed and on air.
I expect to begin feeding the stream with more local Big D Country/WDXD programs around mid-July.
Yes, sir, I am a happy radioboy!
