There is reason to believe that my ISP (Internet Service Provider) has switched me without notice from a residential to a business account including a large increase in price. Their possible reason for doing so might relate to my online activity resembling a business. This puts me into a review mode asking, for one thing, why I have a website, given the fact I neither have an audience nor any monetary gain. Of course I plan to appeal to the ISP to realize that it's a noncommercial hobby, but I also may discontinue my website as being an unnecessary time-consuming undertaking. Streaming would be able to continue by the fact that the Icecast server generates an online presence on its own and can also be called up from the two directories that list KDX, and my personal contact with the outer world takes place here on this forum.
I recently paid 12 month in advance for Mint Mobile (T-Mobile network) unlimited for $150.. The deal is usually $180 for the year, but they gave me a discount to keep me from switching to Visible (Verizon network) currently comparably priced $15 at month, who have no limit on their Hotspot usage (which was my primary gripe about Mint)

What?
Me again.
Those of us here in the good old U.S.A. have entered another 3-day holiday, this one commemorating Martin Luther King, which makes Monday a no mail day, no banks nor any federal offices. However, not all state or cities acknowledge the day, and not all business offices take the day off. Of course radio stations never close no matter what, although some radio personalities get a holiday, which means some of our KDX programming will be unavailable, giving me the task of finding substitutes.
@carl-blare Carl, how can your stream keep going if you cancel your internet provider?
@richardpowers You say what I say check it out
The reason you can't get it right now is that I have the whole works offline for maintenance.
If you can reach the Icecast Server it means it's turned on again.
@richardpowers I am not planning to cancel my internet provider. I only want them to restore my status as a plain residential client.
@richardpowers Oh, I see what you're asking...
My website comes right out of my personal home computer using the Abyss free web server software.
@carl-blare but you still need internet to access Icecast don't you?
Nevermind I didn't see your other replies yet.
@richardpowers Yes, I'll still need internet, but I don't plan to cancel it. I simply want to be shifted back to ordinary residential customer and not a business customer. My website will remain intact because it originates in my computer and not from a website provider.

Yes, Mint! I use that too for the last several years.
@carl-blare - Just talk politely to the provider. I'm sure they'll review your stuff and conclude appropriately you're not a business. Although, I have had commercial internet connections at two businesses and they were indeed a rocket with Charter.
