Anybody use one of these things? I bought one new from the factory and am using it with a Rangemaster. So far the results are less than stellar. Driving it with 600 ohm input and cannot get the peak limiter LED's to light without driving the crap out of it. Set up according to the user manual.
I have one - needed more than just the audio output from the soundcard to drive it. I feed a Behringer 2 band limiter from the sound card boost the drive and to pre-level the sound and punch up the mid range first, then drive the 222. Takes quite a bit of tweaking, but the results are worth it - consistent high modulation than running with just the Behringer or "naked".
That's probably what's happening here.
