I know, but I do not wish to offend anyone. And, I can see where newcomers might be jarred a bit, but in no way do I wish to condone breaking The Law, as it were.
I worked at various full-power stations for over 40 years. The principles are the same, only in lower power. I would like to experiment with Circular Polarization on FM, but I feel any discussion is going to "go there" eventually.
Since the topic is FM, I'm trying to stay on it. FM is not without its noise issues. At night mainly. Like a blender running. I'm on battery power, so I know it's not electrical. Gonna try different locations.

Speaking as a Moderator, everyone (including yourself, and others, including RichPowers) has the right to their personal opinions. There is no Zero Tolerance here. I personally value the creativity that arises out of keeping some slack available.
The job of the Moderators is to interpet site policy, to ensure that things keep running smoothly. A lot of it is just plain common sense. The Forum is about legal Part 15 operation, but that doesn't preclude discussing pirate operations in a general sense (no specific details, no advocacy, etc. - you really can't talk about legal operation without talking about illegal operation to a certain degree). Keep threads on topic. Be technically accurate. No ad hominem attacks. And that's about it.
I see no problem with discussing potential rule changes, either within Part 15 or the creation of separate rules, as long as the above policies are maintained (particularly keeping threads on topic).
So let's keep the discussions going and the opinions flowing.
Anyone having issues with the moderation of this site should direct their comments privately to the Moderators.
