Interesting calculator for Part 15.209 on a certification website.

The calculator linked offers little of practical value to us but the site promotes their pay for service features.

Left this up in case some find it useful but, in general, advertising service for fees is questonable here.

Wow. This calculator does illustrate how low the FM power limits are for Part 15 operation.

The FCC dictates that a licensed commercial FM station must have at least 70 dbu signal strength over its community of license. For your average 50,000 watt equivalent FM, that signal strength reaches out to about 20.5 miles.

For a legal Part 15 FM, that signal strength reaches out to about 5.6 *inches*.
