I just added 11k tracks to my stations main playlist for a total of 96k tracks.  I am just about done adding tracks to the playlist I will still add a few tracks here and there no more big 1.5k+ adds at one time.  I am still adding tracks to the radio programs I will keep doing this for a while.  My stations website wwww.phatbeatsradio.com I am broadcasting at 96kbps AAC+ using Radioboss with Stereo Tool settings SoundReturn by GAP V4.  I am not running a part 15 stations I would love to one day if I could get 4miles range.

We have been running RadioBoss since 2015 without a hiccup.

The only way you're going to get 4 miles range is with an LPFM.  Supposedly there might be an application window opening up in the next few years (I can't remember where I saw that, but I did read it somewhere - it's not all that important to me in Canada).

OR.. with multiple transmitters. That does however open yet another avenue of grey...

There has never been a problem with multiple AM transmitters as long as they are spaced out.

I didn't say there was, nor have I ever heard of any citations for multiple transmitter installations spread out across an area.. The FCC indicates it's fine as long as it's "uncoordinated" installations -thus the "grey" area. Part 15 tends to consist of convoluted rules. But that's ok, it's been prospering quite nicely for over a half century anyway.

I think that's amazing! How many gigs is this using?

Wouldn't even fit on some lower priced computers with solid state or flash storage.
The computer I use for broadcasting is a HP entry level with, I think 40 gigs with solid state(not hard drive) and windows 10 and the other things are taking up some of that.

My 120 hours playlist(3300 things give or take....to get an exact count have to open folders), uses 5.32 gigs so figure from there. And that's with 2 1/2 to 3 minute songs and jingles and ID's which are average 10 to 20 seconds.

Always interested in how many songs everyone has on their computer.  My main music folder contains 2,332 tracks, and I'm adding more every day!

I have about 3500 tracks roughly. Should highlight and look at the actual total again.

but about 600(roughly) of them are jingles, station id's, Chickenman episodes, promos etc.

I'm trying not to keep adding as it has got to end somewhere! I really have enough now that each song that plays won't be heard again for days sometimes. Play it does a good job of random automated play and keeps a log of times and dates of what was played. The jingles, id's are all in the mix at random. But in separate folders from the music tracks in the computer.
