In case you need some audio processing, this is a good option. Breakaway Audio Enhancer is an all-in-one audio processor with quite a lot of power and presets for not much money. It works with all pc audio players and provides most of the audio processing you would need without the need for an outboard compressor-limiter/eq, etc. I had used this for general music listening years ago, forgot about it, and then needed something for my Part 15 AM project. I stumbled onto it again yesterday, and it’s as good as I remember. Transmitted audio is smooth, LOUD, and artifact-free. It makes a huge difference over my previous system of carefully normalized files only. It’s cheaper than a used Behringer Autocom, and takes up no space in the studio. The only thing it lacks that I would like is a graphic eq, and/or a NRSC filter so I could limit frequency response to that consistent with commercial broadcasters and common receivers. I doubt my transmitter has that much bandwidth anyway, but I want to play nice with my little slice of the spectrum.
