Another pay Forum yesterday had a "free" day for non members. What makes it a joke is that the temporary link to enable it was hidden to everyone but existing, paying members.
April fools anyone?
Oh darn, I missed out on that "free day" at the other forum.
And as every year I gave a minute's thought to making some kind of April Fool Joke but always tend to run late by coming up with an idea after April 1st is past. But this morning I thought of something to try...

@carl-blare That's not so far out. Toronto announced on April 1st that there will be a "rain tax" added to the water bills! Something to do with the storm sewers. But this is for real.
the sad thing is that i'm not convinced it was an intentional joke
Mark, that is nuts!
Toronto is going to consider water company customers guilty of rain!
On the other hand, I often feel guilty of sleep, even on days when I have no schedule. Being asleep is irresponsible.
@carl-blare Yeah, it has to do with climate change and the amount of water the sewer system handles because of more rain storms. It got called a rain tax.
Not as a joke, but after I heard myself saying that "Sleeping makes me feel guilty", I decided to put it to the test by seeing how long I could sleep.
I ended up sleeping for 13-hours but was awakened by a woman's raspy vocal-fry voice on public radio, speaking in her role as head of some non-profit organization. I could have slept longer but biased the result by turning the radio on earlier...
When I first awoke at 'the usual time', after perhaps 7-hours, I became curious about what was happening in the waking world and turned on the radio. I soon regretted it because the radio started to annoy me because I sleep best in perfect silence, but I had become so warm and comfy that I didn't want to reach out and turn off the radio.
But it did teach me that if I start a non-profit organization I will advertise for a female spokes person with vocal fry who starts every sentence with "So,..."
As a follow up to this 'joke', the webmaster on that Forum today (in a thread of, about what else, radio pirates) claimed that people were "begging" to join his website for free. It, of course, is a pay site.
I somehow doubt that. Most of the content on the site is freely available elsewhere (including here), minus the misinformation and bias of course. I honestly can't imagine who would want to pay good money for it. Most of the people that I respect in the radio world didn't want to join that site, even when it was free. Or they joined, quickly realized their mistake, and left.
