I do from time to time offer up my unique vocal stylings to my listeners, and I did this Christmas song a few years ago. Now, available exclusively to the readers of this Part 15 forum.
You don't even need a music license to broadcast this, since the song itself dates back to the 1500's so it's deeply entrenched in the Public Domain, and the lyrics in this version are by me, and I hearby give you all permission to broadcast it as much as you can stand it. It contains valuable shopping advice.

In years past I mixed in holiday tunes without going wall to wall except on Xmas Eve and Day. This year I may do an Xmas stunt to launch the new talker. The talk lineup isn't supposed to start until Jan 1st so we'll see.
I've been running public domain Christmas insrumentals on 1410 AM in a small pocket of a Nashville, Tennessee suburb since Saturday afternoon during sun up to sun down hours and will keep them running until the day after Christmas.
The big box store is an inevitable part of the Christmas experience and in the large stores we hear music coming out of the ceiling which sooths us into feeling very friendly about using the credit card.
Reels of K-Mart Ceiling Music have been made available from Internet Archive, some reels actually contain the special sales messages that peppered the lovely music.
I run these tapes late at night sometimes and find myself doing on-line shopping.
I don't usually go all-Christmas, but I do stick my share of Christmas music into my playlists from about now until Christmas/New Year's. 🙂
As everyone packs the holiday songs away for next year I'll admit that KDX welcomes one annual program from Harry Shearer, whose weekly radio program is over 30 years old!
Each Christmas Harry presents a very well panned show of jazz-novelty music performed by himself and his many friends in music and comedy. It is much more adult than most stuff, which tends to appeal to the infantile mind (an actual area of the mind defined by psychologists, also the center of religious beliefs).
Also, not long ago on the Tommy Mischke podcast, Mischke visited an ex-priest who explained that he kept a Christmas tree up all year in his home office because it made him feel good. There's a thought!
The after Christmas sales start tomorrow, time for some serious shopping!
Yup, sometime tomorrow which is today now I will be removing the folder with all the Christmas songs that were added to the mix and saving it for next year.
