So, the "Least racist President in history" is all a-twitter because Puerto-Rican singer Bad Bunny performed half-time at the Superbowl.
I didn't see the initial performance, watching a bit (since I have issues looking at screens) and listening to it after the fact.
I have to admit that I generally don't like rap music (and most modern music at all).
But I quite enjoyed this performance and the music. It was refreshing to hear Latin rhythms, even with rap, and somehow he made it all work for me. He certainly has a stage presence.
The message throughout was Love, and it all came together. Canada was even mentioned!
From what I can gather, the powers that be didn't like Bad Bunny because he's Puerto-Rican, sings in Spanish and has criticized the current administration in the past.
Instead, they hosted their own party at Trump's home in Florida featuring Kid Rock, a supporter, who is a self-admitted redneck, who used to display a Confederate flag during his concerts, and released an anti-vax, anti-media single in 2022. Oh, and who's white, born in Michigan and raps in English.
I like the Bad Bunny America a lot better.
