@1620am Is that something like PVC(plastic) pipe you have the wire in? If that is with the Sean Cuthbert where is the transmitter? He doesn't make them to be weatherproof. Just a plastic cabinet.
Halperin inch pvc for antenna with wire taped on . My transmitter is inside but very close to bottom of antenna. The windows are tall and almost reach ceiling. I built a shell at the very top and since the walls are thick enough room for the transmitter to sit. I drilled a couple holes through the window and the wires come out below the sophet where the tower is . There's three antenna s on the tower , one on the roof and another on a much higher tower behind the house . Each antenna has a different purpose and not hooked together. The radials start at the center of roof and are extremely long , they're hooked to the trees . I think from one end of the east west radial about 450 feet. There's around 15 radials but not hooked to the transmitter, they help without them being hooked up. The new roof is metal but I didn't remove the old asphalt roof, put metal roof over it ....A massive counterpoise. I've been thinking about extending the center southern radial by another 100 feet. The radials are difficult to see even during the winter . The woods are very thick , kind of hide everything including the house . The nearest paved road is about 3 tenths of a mile .
