So i have been using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Linux) and would like to use that machine for running
automation for 102.7 Busy FM. Only trouble is it installs using WINE but i am unable to insert audio files from the library. Instert tracks won’t work at all.
Has anyone else here had any success running Zararadio 1.4 on any Linux Distro?
I have attached a screenshot of the error i received.

You need to install windows media player in Wine as well, I think I used version 9 or 10. It was a while ago since I did it. But Zara did work after that.

Zara and Ubuntu
Are you still running Ubuntu and is Zara working ok for you there? Did adding Win Media Player do the trick for running Zara under Ubuntu? I’m running Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS on an old PC.

I did this years ago just to see if it would work. I havnt tried it since then. All my pc’s run Win 10.

Zara in Xubuntu
Holy Cow! I think I might have Zara running in ‘Wine’ under the Xubuntu operating system.
But I can’t hear anything. Two problems: one, is I have no monitor speakers on the ancient PC. The headphones I was just loaned, when placed into the jack at the front, do not produce sound. All indications show there is sound. Hmm.

JACK?
Cent, do you have the Linux “JACK” audio manager running?
