Over the years growing up in a big city there was always talk of “strange neighborhoods” where “bad things could happen,” even though I always ignored that fear and never had a problem in any neighborhood. But lately the internet has become a “strange neighborhood.”
I already shared the peculiar e-mail I got from Abdul asking me to help improve his 20-watt FM for which he offered to pay 1-hour of my time. Now I get another odd e-mail.
Someone claiming to be a “tutor in Delaware” who is teaching students about ham radio spoke praise of my Part 15 page at kdxradio.com. The tutor asked me to make a link to a find-a-date website where you could meet “people with ham radios.” They said this would increase the confidence of a 7th grade girl who found the link.
It may only be nuclear radiation, but I feel sick.

I have got some strange emails for my internet radio station. I got a email from a person saying I am the biggest fan of your station and I listen to it all the time. Could you please send me some free gifts. Then she/he put there address. It said she/he lived in a different country. A couple of weeks later I got a email with the same address and same wording but different email and name. Strange.
