I just thought of this. Most of the radio stations of all sizes have their slogan. Noticed I put that in singular tense. Most stations have a slogan.

That’s the main theme of what I just thought. We do we have one, static, unchanging, permanent, same everyday slogan, when in fact radio is an organic medium that can change second by second? Are we trying to stand still? Are we pretending to be a statue?
I think we should have new slogans all the time, anytime we think of a new one or a better one.
My new slogan of the day is “The Passing Scene”
By tomorrow I’ll forget, and I’ll get sick of updating the website every few minutes, but for now, “Worldround Radio” is “The Passing Scene.”
I’ve heard your slogan before. And the time before that. Save it.

Housekeeping
For some reason I could not access the EDIT tool for correcting a couple of misspellings in the “Slogans” blog. Is EDIT no longer available?
Every blog and forum entry has its typographic error, so I’ll just go with the flute. That’s, flow.

Edits
The edit function has been turned off for now. This is due to the actions of some posters who edit their posts, sometimes months later, substantially changing the content (not just typos) which makes the followup comments by others out of context. Another action that has happened is a poster will delete his/her post and the way this site works this also deletes the posts of others whose comments follow the deleted post.
So, to preserve the content of the site and the intellectual efforts of all members the edit function is not available until some other fix can be installed.
Try to preview your postings before pressing the save button. It is annoying when one revisits one’s posts and spots typos but we all know they are typos and not illiteracy.

Not Always
With me it’s not always a typo.
Sometimes it is illiteracy.

Missing My Slogans
In the Beginning, KDX Worldround Radio had many slogans.
But for several years KDX Part 15 radio has stopped using station I.D.s, since the Rules don’t require Part 15 stations to transmit an I.D.
Now I’m beginning to miss the slogans, which were forms of station identification.
KDX “The Talking Point,” was a big one back in the day.
There was also a slogan I liked, but which was withdrawn…
KDX “The Official Radio Station of the New World Order.”
Although it was meant to make fun of the neo facists, most people assumed we were WITH the militaristic nut jobs and religious fanatics, so we stopped using it.
How are your slogans?
