I regret that I will miss the meeting for Sept 14 but..
My wife and I will be on the road a good bit this weekend to take care of some family matters. Nothing bad, but it will mean I’m not going to be available this evening.
I am continuing the development of the Sunday morning Southern and country gospel program. This is a weekly two hour program running
from 7:35 am to 9:30 am Eastern Time.
Here’s the basic clock:
7:30-7:35 (local: Fox News Radio)
7:35 local station jingle
7:35:30 cue tone (sounds like: bee-doop)
7:35:45 Gospel program begins with a “Share the Joy” jingle and music bed then goes right to music)
7:36 – 8:30 Program
8:00 (Floats)Music bed for a local station ID – about 20 seconds
8:30 Cue tone
8:30 Local (Fox News Radio for us, 5 minute break for you)
8:35 (clock repeats exactly the same as first hour)
There are no ads within the program.
Despite the frantic pace of this weekend, I plan to broadcast a trial run of this on Sunday 9/16 in case you want to listen for yourself. It’s been a local show (without the cue tones and such) for a while now. I will have to work to be a bit more generic for it to be usable elsewhere, I suppose.
The same programming will be simulcast over both the Live365 and Radio Terra streams at http://www.bigdcountry.com.

dont worry about it buddy…. i cant always be apart of the meeting because i recently got a job at my local school district doing tech and computer maintenance and repair and other other tech jobs as well i work from 7am to 8:50am 8:50-2pm i have classes and from 2PM- until sometimes 4:30pm and sometimes until as late as 6-7pm i have i work in the tech department work Monday through Friday, off Saturday and Sunday. a lot of hours & little-to-moderate pay but its good, i enjoy it and on Friday after i get done and go home i sleep until sometimes the next morning, but i enjoy it and that’s the reason why i cant join and discuss part 15 radio with you guys at the meeting as long i enjoy doing it that’s all that matters to me.
if you want to go do something and want to enjoy your time off, that’s all that matters, if you need a break, be my guest and take a break.
enjoy your time off

Thanks, Andrew!
I don’t post here all that often because I’m more of a programmer than an engineer. But I enjoy your contributions to the forums, Andrew, and am glad you are here.
I think quite a few if us probably have the time-crunch thing going on. I don’t work full time outside the home any longer, thanks to being replaced at a local radio station by a satellite receiver, but have some other things going on.
Friday evening found me unexpectedly taking care of three step-grandsons, ages 8, 9 and 14. Then rising at the crack of dawn to take a 200 mile road trip to take two of them back home. There and back in the same day = whew!
Nevertheless, I was right on schedule with the Sunday program. I generally do a new show live every week, and I don’t tape them – so if I’m out of town we just don’t run it that week. With few listeners and no advertisers, it doesn’t matter that much to me anymore. It’s for the joy of doing it.
The grandsons are a joy, too, even more so than radio. I’ve just about raised the two younger boys while my stepdaughter worked full time to try to make ends meet. At long last, she will be able to be home with them, and is home-schooling them.
