Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The Saturday ALPB meeting time has been difficult for me to adjust to due to family usually being here. I remain active in operating AM 1610 while awaiting the LPFM CP.

You have now answered the question asked at last night’s meeting by Chairman MRAM 1500, who wondered if anyone had heard about the status of your LPFM application.
If Saturday night will always be an unconvenient time for you to attend the TeamSpeak Meetings, let MRAM know a time that would be better, and we can discuss it as a possible new time to meet.
Good for keeping AM 1610 up and kicking.

The LPFM status…
Application was accepted for filing on Dec. 2 and was published in the Daily Digest. I’m in the 30 day public notice period.
Word is that “singleton” apps with no opposition or technical issues could see CPs issued in January.
One station owner says this is about the fastest he has ever seen the FCC work through applications. So far they have dismissed around 239 for: filed by an individual instead of a nonprofit; board members on more than one application; duplicate filings; short-spaced facilities; a few for other reasons, and some at the applicant’s request (withdrawal.)
REC Networks at http://www.recnet.com has done a good job of keeping us informed about these, and other things that are occurring with respect to the LPFM process.
There are two other singleton apps in my market. Krank It Up is a bicycle shop of sorts and Tallahassee Public Radio, on closer look, is probably a Christian outfit. I am proposing pretty much all local but I do have the rights to “20 The Countdown Magazine” with Jon Rivers.

Merriment
In the past week I’ve heard thousands of people wishing each other “Merry Christmas.”
What we must do now is start taking “Merriment Measurements” to determine “How Merry We Are,” and if not merry enough, we might want to start cashing in on more of the wishes that have been issued.
If people appear very merry I usually withhold my “Merry Wishes,” because I think it could be dangerous for some people to become “Overly Merry.”
Another problem is getting the state of merriment to coincide with Christmas. There is such a thing as exhausting the merriment before Christmas ever starts.
And on December 26th it’s important to crank it down a little bit and be less merry.
Hope we “Get It Right!”

Not merry down here, no day
Not merry down here, no day at the beach today, we have rain. Anyway merry Christmas to the people up top.
