This is Winter Solstice Week. The exact time of the Winter Solstice will be 5:30 U.T.C. on Thursday, December 22, 2011. At that time the earth makes a u-turn and begins the return toward the summer for the northern hemisphere.
The Winter Solstice is the longest night and shortest day of the year. Every day thereafter each day will have 1-minute more daylight. It is a major astronomical event, celebrated every year by KDX.
The following programs are available from KDX
– Blare OnAir – Winter Solstice 2011 – Parts 1 & 2
– The Low Power Hour No. 18 – Big Bash
– Blare OnAir – Winter Solstice 2009

A Sufferance Christmas
Carl, you could produce a special: “A Sufferance Christmas”
You could be Sam the Snowman.
Title 47 Part 15 could be Rudolph (guiding the sleigh).
A Part15 manufacturer could be Santa.
Hermey the North Pole elf would be an engineer.
Part15.us could be the Island of Misfit Toys.
A long ground lead could be the Abominable Snowmonster.
Mr. Fry could be the Grinch.

All Right
Rich Powers, you have just named the next LPH. Except it will be after Christmas, so maybe “A Sufferance New Year”….. if you have a modified suggestion sent it on through.
I liked your cast ideas too. Hmmm…..
You know, there is the Twelve Days of Christmas, if we used our sufferance power maybe it could still be a Christmas show….

Not sure
At this moment the Low Power Hour No. 18 – BIG BASH is just concluding on my pc.
It ought to be listed one of KDX’s holiday selections as well!
Very cool free-form creation in my book.. or should I say production?
I think it was a Christmas special…. it definitely wasn’t one of the usual LPH Part15 interview and/or informative shows.
Not sure what I just listened to – and by the way, I hope I handled myself ok at the BASH.. because to be honest, I don’t remember even being there.
Anyway, whatever it was; it definitely was original, a lot of fun, and left me with a good feeling.
Not sure if you freewheeled your way through that or took a lot of time producing it.. and not sure if it’s just me , or if everyone who got a kick out of it. But two thumbs up!
OK. I almost forgot what I came here to post.. rather ask; it’s about the final conclusion to the episode; Who sang “Silent Night” at the end? I could swear I’m listening to Hendrix playing in it.
