This afternoon I, Carl Blare, acting lord, recalled how well DRS2 (Dog Radio Studio 2) introduced Low Power Hour No. 38 to the part15.us community. It was a very smooth piece of work.
So I contacted Mr. Dog Radio and asked if he would fulfill the position of official pronouncer for upcoming LPH releases.
While we await Mr. Studio 2’s reply, I can tell you that No. 39 has its flaws.
I ran a test hearing of this new show tonight on the KDX Worldround stream, and noticed several editing errors.
Wouldn’t you know it, my web site service provider notified me that tonight, of all nights, they were shutting down for maintenance. So I can’t get in there to correct the errors.
That means the version with errors is standing right out in the open at kdxradio.com and can’t be corrected until tomorrow. This is Version “V1”.
So for trivia sensitives, like myself, when “V2” appears, the editing errors will be corrected.
Also, V2 may include additional material not found in V1. I don’t know. I already forget what that might be.
Keeping track of life while it goes down the tubes is one struggle, that’s for sure.

But… But… But…
I actually announced the
premier of LPH #39 last
night. But there has been
so much traffic in the forums
that the entry has already dropped
off the list.
But I was looking at the
broadcast trades and um…
Wait a minute.
Well, I listened to it and it
was really really good!
I was in the dark, flat on my
back on a board, actually, because
I had a disc (disk?) problem last
year, and the flat board is good
for my back. (The flat board is
on a big old couch.)
I had rigged it so the program stream
was going
through the “Inter-Dog-Radio-Studio-2
FM transmitter” on 88.3 MHz.
The only radio that had working batteries
at the time that – could be moved around
and used in the dark – was…
…my old Grundig S-350, which is a portable
radio that is probably the size of an old
dictionary or encyclopedia or something.
So here I am in the dark, listening to LPH #39
with this radio laying back-side DOWN on
my stomach. Because I have been dieting lately
this is now possible. And the speaker/front
of the radio was facing up toward the ceiling
in the dark.
And I’m listening to LPH #39, LAUGHING like
a TOTAL NUT JOB in the dark, and the radio
is JIGGLING AROUND on my stomach!! Every once
in a while I had to put my hand up so
the radio would not fall off of me and crash down
on the floor!
It’s REALLY TRUE!
And some other guys liked it too, via notes
on that other thread.
Great show, very funny!!
I don’t know about any computer glitches
or editing problems. If they were there
i didn’t notice them. I was laughing
too hard. It’s just exactly my kind of
humor!!
So whatever. Whatever version is there is
worth hearing.
(Unless, Carl, you want them to wait until
you fix whatever it was.)
It was great.
So listen to it when you can, or when Carl says
it’s fixed or whatever.
Be there! Aloha!

Timing is Something
I posted this notice that DRS2 was offered an executive position before knowing whether he’d accept the appointment as Official LPH Pronouncer.
It might appear that LPH#39 got mentioned by me prior to a Formal Pronouncement from DRS2, but my mention was only informal.
When Mr. DRS2 made the Official Notice of LPH # 39, his executive appointment entered the acceptance phase, and The Low Power Hour as well as the entire Part 15 Low Power Community may look forward to being well served.
As promised, LPH# 39 V2 is released, and it contains bonus announcing amounting to a minute or so.

Can they play Beethoven’s 5th and 9th?
Oh wait I have an idea! Ask them to play the Olympics theme! 😀
