It hadn't rained here for a bit

So we're in the middle of a dryer than normal drought. Storms and rain seem to dance around the edges of my farm and barely dampen it.

So I had the transmitter running as usual, the servers including the BBS, and I heard thunder in Rolla. And I put out an urgent message to the #1 son to pull the power plug!

Actually he shut down the power bar controller. I had him just power it off.

Normally I don't do that but I really don't want to lose the transmitter or server to a lightening strike/surge nearby. Typically I have plenty of notice and I'm somehow always home during the rain storms. 

Good news, we will have improved ground moisture for conductivity and to keep my fruit trees alive. Yay!
