kc8gpd I think your project to collect and make available the rare LPB documentation, and I very much hope you have success.
I just visited qsl.net and noticed that it is a website for licensed amateur radio people, and I wonder of us plain part 15 types would be able to go there to find LPB materials.
I also notice the Terms of Service at qsl.net disallow posting copyrighted material, so I wonder how you will solve the sticky problem that no one seems to know who owns the LPB copyrights.
I am sure that you have taken all this into account, and I will appreciate hearing how it will work.
qsl.net only will care if the copyright holder complains. i will simply leave my email on there with a message asking copyright holders to contact me if there is a problem with me making them publicly available.
the heirs to the Cunningham estate could (so far as i know) care less about the making of the Cunningham stuff available as they let the msn site go (and as far as i know didn't put up another) and don't even bother to support the transmitter anymore.
LPB, well we all know what happened there.
someone needs to make this out of print stuff available.
I am glad to hear what you said, because I fully agree that the rare LPB documentation needs to become available, since some of the equipment shows up on eBay lacking a manual.
Now that you've described the procedure I recall seeing similar situations, namely the posting of information with a message respecting copyright holders.
There's a 2-Watt LPB transmitter that I'd love to find, or to at least get a manual.
i'm looking for all the old panaxis pamphlets, schematics and kit manuals, etc.
i'd like to scan and add them to the archive as well.
this is stuff that will be long lost and forgotten if it isn't preserved in digital format.
