From my news feed on Facebook, an image of the wildfires just above the city of Pineville,Ky.
Right now Gatlinburg Tn is battleing fires as well, dangerously close to the city.
Many more fires across the state of Ky, Virginia and Tn. We desperately need rain.

Floods are as bad as fires!!
Here in the Northeast we have had our drought eased a bit, but are still VERY deficient on rainfall....hoping to get a good "drink" or 2 before the ground freezes for the Winter....!!

We have had our fair or is it unfair share of flooding as well, two years in a row.
Lucky for me, my house sits up 6 feet higher than the road and the creek across from my house. But that's not to say that it can't reach my house if we were to have more rain that usual.
Below are some pictures of our one lane road, some flooding and a rock slide from the last couple of years. The rock slide was further up the main road and caused a lot of us to take longer routes to town.
