I also know that there is too much power in the wrong hands and it can be used against individuals much too quickly.

But I further know that there is no "safe formula" for "going along to get along".

I wasn't exactly thinking about HAMs although they have been mentioned.

I was more addressing Part 15 Engineer's proposal that we become self-policing part 15ers by policing others. That in itself is contradictory...

We are already "self-policing" in that we uphold part 15 rules.

But we are 100% unqualified to police the spectrum to find and report illegal transmissions.

The HAMs evidently have a tradition of playing enforcement games but this isn't a HAM website and I am not a HAM so I'll steer clear of commenting except for this one remark... I think it's stupid.

Mr. Hills was using the term Ham Cop in concert with Part 15 Cop. Both are the same. And I agree. Bad idea.
