Right off the top I hereby, thereby, and by-by suggest yet another forum category for Part 15 Streaming. That's what this is about.
I have three streams that go out from here at the Internet Building in addition to KDX AM & FM Part 15 Transmission.
The way I accomplish the streaming is no doubt unique, but it has its roadblocks every once in awhile.
The signal chain is thus:
Zara V 1.6.2 with its fabulous time-announcement and other automation features outputs to Virtual Cable which feeds LineIn Plugin to Winamp which has its great DSP Plugin Features.
The Winamp DSP Plugins allow routing through Stereo Tools, Shoutcast AAC Encoder, SAM Encoder for Icecast and 16kbps MP3 Encoding, and DirectSound Output to the Part 15 Transmitters.
But I decided to road-test the B.U.T.T. Encoder, which is not a DSP device.
B.U.T.T. is able to grab audio from Virtual Cable coming from Zara, but that's prior to the Stereo Tools Audio Processing, which needs to be part of the chain.
You'll get a good night's sleep, but I'll be up all night trying to patch and re-patch until this stuff does everything I want.
