I just recenly got a laptop computer with built in wi-fi. I had some fun "wardriving," an activity where I run Net Stumbler on my laptop and drive around sniffing out wi-fi networks.
On my way out of downtown Omaha, I drove past the high-rise apartment where fellow Part 15 station "WOQ" is operated. I was pleasantly surprised to see the SSID "AM 1690 WOQ - K0CBS Radio" appear on my screen. I thought that was such a clever way to advertise our Part 15 stations, that I just had to set my own in a similar way. Mark's wi-fi access point is secured, of course.

The reasoning is that anyone who happens to notice my SSID would most likely be in range of my Part 15 station signal, so why not? It's also likely that anyone who sees my SSID will probably be technically inclined, and perhaps interested in seeing what the station on AM 1690 is all about.
