I trust you all had a good Thanksgiving holiday.
Oompah Hour #140 is ready to roll!
First show out of the "new studio". It's not really a new room per se', but a new "side" of the studio. The studio room now has a side dedicated to commercial production and audio trickery and a side dedicated to production of music shows and live on air work. It's basically two separate and complete studios in one room.
So, starting this week, new mixer, new turntables, new cartridges/stylii, new mic, new digital recorder, etc. I'm still not convinced the new cartridge/stylus combinations are as good or better than my trusted vintage Stanton 500's with the hard core vintage DJ needles that track at 5+ grams, that really cut through the scratches and dirt on the old 45's, but we'll see how it goes!
