We certainly have the right people on this forum to comment on everything that comes up. And really, I think all the swings we've taken into different aspects of disasters all relate back to EAS. We are giving a solid review to the whole gamut of possible catastrophes and truly examining our own preparedness, not only as stations, but as people.

In my own imagination I am quite smart but that historian that was brought up is new to me and I'll have to look him up at the library.

Also, back a distance, it was said that the human being generates 25-watts of bio-power right inside the head. How come we aren't regulated under part 15? What if we grab a flag pole, can we transmit thoughts?

My last point of the evening. Madness is often the outcome of a panic situation, so even that goes with EAS.

Its all about monitoring the citizens of America. The government has gone "spy crazy" since 9/11...for the sake of safety. Too bad its all under a false premise. Has nothing to do with safety or fight against terrorists.....in the government's eyes...WE are the terrorists and therefore WE must be kept safe from their agendas....a police state.

As to the Faraday cage building around TX's....they should be investing that (our) money into protecting the nation's power grids and communications systems. All these installations are part of the new "One Button Wonder" system they want to test...so that way when its pushed, it shuts down all communications in the public realm and fires up these units and then we can all see de furer on our screens.

But we are not the priority on the totem pole....yet we foot the bill for it all.

Need a mass major uprising and rebellion against this crap. They may have the guns...but we got the numbers. (Jim Morrison)

Leaving all of our communication platforms and power systems vulnerable makes it easy for them to implement that "One Button Wonder-One System Under Our Control" agenda. Let EMP's and flares knock out everything so that we become even more dependent. Nice isnt it.

We were surprised to learn, one fine day, that we are all under suspicion.

As has just been said in a previous comment, that suspicion is the reason used for spying on all of us. But my psychology consultant informs us that the real reason for the surveillance cannot be openly admitted, and in fact must be hidden, namely, there are voyeurs in power and the new spy equipment has driven them into a frenzy of watching.

Just know this. You are not suspected of anything, and you will only be watched if one of them thinks you're kind of cute. As you know, part 15 hobbyists are not usually lookers, so most of us will be ignored.

Want more wonderful One Button Wonders?

http://www.rbr.com/radio/local-community-radio-act-it-s-the-law.html

This new "Obamasiah" law does nothing for us out here who do not have a few million sitting around to go bid on construction permits....much less bid on the license and frequency.

Next will be a law totally eliminating the very section we rely on to keep the airwaves public. Wont be any need to cite installations over antenna lengths, exceeding field strengths.

Just wait and see.
