It's Bruce, DRS2 (?)

This website has been a part of
my life every day for the last
5 years. Now I have all of this
serious life stuff.

So, even though I am not really here,
I am here, if you know what I mean.

Although, DRS2 has been disassembled,
there is still an FM transmitter on
sometimes.

So in this interim time, when we are
figuring out where to go and to live,
the "station" here, that of what it
is, isn't much - it's just a few
pieces of gear hooked together.

Just of my piece of mind, for this
peculiar time - I'm going to give
this little installation a new name.

It's GNAT 90.9.

There. Now I feel better. Thanks for
listening guys.

Bruce, GNAT 90.9 MHz.

i have my serious worries going on here. i have been worried what the next administration will do to medicare and social security disability.

it they decide to start cutting social security and i wind up losing benefits before my youngest turns 18 in march of 2015 it will be much much more disastrous than if it should happen after they turn 18. if it happens before they turn 18 jail will be in my future do to an in ability to maintain much less find employment in a good economy much less this economy.

this election has me very scared about the future.

i have been avoiding posting here for that very reason. it's part of why i have been offloading so many political tirades in recent months.

i have schizo affective disorder and feel very sorry for those suffering from full blow schizophrenia should such a thing come about.

your not alone bruce.

i haven't turned the tv on in three weeks except for watching waltons.

it got so bad i had a full blown anxiety attack and needed a trip for some liquid anti anxiety meds from the ER. and as i type this just had a severe migraine and now a nose bleed i'm trying to stop.

so i am terrified. if a the republican gets in he'll have a repub controlled congress and no telling what he can do with that in the democrat gets in who knows what he will do although democrats have a long history of standing up for the middle class and poor while repubs have a history for standing up for the elite 1% ers

i have till January 2016 then i will be safe from child support prison and the only thing i will have to worry from not being able to keep employment is paying my bills (which i live with an understanding G/F and soon to be wife in that area) and not prison.

The most important thing in the lives of DRS2 and kc8gpd is part 15 radio.

All the other stuff, the wives, the kids, the dogs, the homes, that's all well and good, but part 15 is tops.

I believe governments should exist to defend and protect the people of the population. Some name callers say this is "socialism", but all the "ism's" are non-trust-worthy. They are used as weapons against common sense.

The human race is amazing, could be even more amazing, if it weren't for the parasites in the upper 1% pulling dirty tricks.

DRS2, my gut tells me you are a "land-on-your-feet-kind-of-person" and your War Room efforts are expected to somehow pay off.

kc8gpd, you are SUPER-ULTRA-SENSITIVE to the world you perceive, and I am counting on the possibility that the world moves at a much slower pace than you need to worry about. It is my belief that everything will still be in place by January, 2013, much as it is now.

Above all, cling to part 15.

I was only off by 3-years.

The good news/bad news scenario for 2016 is that you needn't worry about your personal problems by then, because the world will somewhat be discontinued.

here is an interesting thread from another forum i ask those advocating for the removal of social safety nets to ponder on.

http://forum.tuscaloosanews.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14596

it brings up some very interesting points that many conservatives rather not think about and sums up the facts rather nicely

it's actually quite entertaining as well.

the symptoms i display are part of the disorder.

That was a good read and I have high praise for author, johndoe80004, who used plenty of reason, facts, and writing skills to make a point easy to understand. Not too common, for the most part.

Back to my point of view. That whole list of needs distribution was assembled in the first place because those, in fact, ARE the needs categories of the human population.

Rather than ripping them down, the real obligation should be to enhance them for best efficiency.

But, sad to say, many of our politicians are hate criminals with the deceptive skill of tying shoe laces and neck ties.

Robert, you know I have always
liked you and I still do.

I enjoyed your reference to Star Trek 3,
on another thread, you know - the one
about the plumbing, as said by Scotty.
I had meant to tell you that before, but
I've been very distracted as you know.

For whatever it's worth, I don't watch or
listen to the news. At all. Period.
It helps a lot.

As cynical as I can become, I still believe
we are fortunate to be living in the United
States. I don't know if it is the best
country on the planet, but is sure is a lot
better than some other places. I'm not
trying to start a debate here... It's just
what I think. For whatever it's worth.

So Robert, hang in there, man. I know you
are a cool guy. I have looked at your
Facebook pictures from a link you put up
here a while back. I know you are a good guy.

And Carl, you have made me laugh from your
incredible humor a zillion times. And I know
you are still funny and I know I will still
be laughing way into the future.

As you know, I am working on family
and living stuff. Until recently, I
had been very compelled to write for this
board and had gone over everything on Part 15.US
with a fine tooth comb, day after day, for
years. Right now, I just
can't seem to do that. My mind just keeps
going back to the situations I have to work
on. I guess that's a good thing.

So, I miss everyone here, and I make note that,
(with my initial comment about this a week or
two ago) there were many kind comments of
encouragement - and I appreciate them very much.
And I always will.

So for know, and I seems to have found peace with
this - DRS2 is now, "THE BIG OFFICE," or as Carl referred
to" The War Room. This is where I can spread out all
of my notes written on gigantic poster board with
thick markers. (Because of the eye situation.) I
can wear a big light on my head and look at all of
this stuff and try to figure out where our family is
going.

Although it is hard to keep things in perspective,
we have to try to do that if possible. I just received
a great shock just a few hours ago. A very good friend
of mine died in a house fire yesterday. Boy, does that
put things in perspective. I sure am grieving this one.

We have to be thankful for our family and our friends.
You guys on this board have all been friends, but there
have been times when you have almost been like family.
Very very close to it.

So now, in the "War Room," as Carl so humorously put it,
there is a little corner. It is gnat 90.9.

If we can stay here, which is not likely - but if we
can - it will go back to being DRS2, or maybe DRS3.

I don't want to go on and on with this. I guess I
just can't be as into Part 15 as I was, and I miss it,
and you guys.

Anyway, my comments will be trickling in here and there.
And I am looking at the NALPB with great interest.
I'm not qualified to be a "member" right now, because
there is really no real station here. But I hope that
will change someday.

Bruce, gnat 90.9

P.S. The following is a paragraph
that I had in here - it was part of
the note - but somehow it got away
from me.

It just talks about another way that
I avoid "the news." In this case,
it's when I am DXing on the AM BCB.

Here is is:

Now, when I AM BCB DX - or when I did
recently - I had radios on timers that
turned a recorder on plus or minus a
few minutes from the top of the hour.
If you really love AM BCB DXing like I
do, this really helps unfray the nerves.
If you hear a top of the hour ID from
a DX station, you can stop the tape
before the news comes on.
That AM BCB stuff is taken apart now.

As I said, I don't do news at all. As
for weather, I either listen to NOAA
or look at weather radar on the computer
or try to forecast the weather myself
(which is fun.)

- - So - - that was the piece of the note
that somehow got lost and dumped down to
the bottom of the page. For whatever it's
worth. - Bruce
