Hi everybody...been reading the forums here for a while...finally registered and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is David, and I'm in southeast Iowa....in the process of setting up a part 15 station.
I've got about 10 years working in commercial radio, and currently work at a local AM hosting a daily afternoon talk show. I've really been enjoying the challenges of setting up a station, I've been working in the studio end getting automation and programming ready, And now I have to find a transmitter and get to that side of it all. Anyway just thought I'd say hello and thank you for all the information I've found on this forum!
Welcome to the board! Ask questions and there will be folks here who will try to help. Also, this board has been around long enough that there is a huge archive of material which can be searched by using the search function.
Some of us use part 15 AM and some use part 15 FM and some, such as I, use both.
Click on the ads here for the SSTRAN and the Rangemaster for some good information on two popular AM units. There are others but these are the two best known to me.
