For Sale AM broadcast Harris STX-1B AM Stereo C-QUAM Exciter in very good condition
used in no smoking environment.
This exciter is intended to convert a mono AM transmitter to C-QUAM AM stereo.
The exciter has a built in frequency synthesizer set with DIP switches(no crystals to buy).
A built in 2 stage audio limiter provides high quality broadcast audio without overmodulation.
Unit works well and was taken out of service 3 weeks ago.
Connections to the exciter:
Left and Right balanced audio inputs.
L+R balanced audio output to your AM transmitter audio input.
L-R carrier output replacing the oscillator circuit in your transmitter.
Includes manual and power cord. Has extender circuit board for testing and
adjusting the plugin circuit boards.
Connecting the L-R carrier output to your transmitter oscillator circuit may require some
technical expertise.
