Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of free country music programming I could rebroadcast? Live stream, downloads, podcasts, anything considered.

Thank you.

Pat

A lot of country westen music can be found under "Audio" at this site:

http://archive.org

It is marked "Community Audio", which I think is the modern term for "public domain."

search for "country" and then select "Most Recent Date First" which makes your list show the latest additions on back into the past.

The man we need is radioboy, Alan McCall, Tallahassee, Florida, who checks in here a lot.

He is a long time country programmer and specialist, and he is likely to have the answer.

Once again, thank you Carl. I do hope he can. It is Radioboy who highlighted this site to me in fact and Alan has been very helpful to me so far.

..could be my middle names.

One site that has a weekly two hour program is http://www.cdtex.com. They have other items available for broadcasters as well. This site is definitely worth checking out.

I also use AirplayDirect and cdxcd.com for individual singles.

Pat, feel free to email me directly if you need more specific help. The only area I don't know much about is podcasts of country. I get pitched so much programming I haven't had time to explore this realm very much.

Since I always wanted to do country during my radio career and never had the chance I am enjoying doing it now. My station went to country on July 27, 2003.

Wonderful that Alan was nearby.

I sampled a show that seems really good, and I might run it...

"Out of the Woods", a program specializing in country played on acoustic instruments and voice, 3-hours in length, not sure if it's weekly or daily...

It can be found at two sites...

http://archive.org

and

http://radio4all.org

Forgot about this one when writing the earlier post, so I emailed this to Pat and am also sharing it with the group.

I just want to say a big thank you to RadioBoyAlan for his tip on the weekly two hour country music programme at http://www.cdtex.com . This is an exceptional programme with extremely high production values, and interesting and refreshing content to boot. It is free to LPAM stations and is a welcome addition to my schedule at Total Country AM here in Dublin.

Now, does anyone know of any similar free to broadcast country music radio programmes I can add to my schedule?
