Early Sunday Morning this coming weekend, March 10, clocks will be set ahead by 1-hour to shift from STANDARD to DAYLIGHT TIME.
Two U.S. states, Hawaii and Arizona, remain on the same time year 'round, but I do not know whether they adhere to DAYLIGHT or STANDARD.
Nor do I know what Canada does with their clocks, but luckily we have Canadian contributors who can tell us.
In Canada, in Ontario, we turn the clocks back the second week in November and ahead the second week in March. But Ontario passed a bill to leave it on daylight saving all the time and do away with this but New York State and Quebec have to be on board but haven't agreed yet.
Here in the U.S. there are conflicting federal bills to have it stay at one time. But can't have both standard and daylight time at the same time. West Virginia has a bill to keep it on daylight time. But it has stalled.
Obviously the time change to DST doesn't affect EAS in the US. At least in West Virginia. All tests and alerts are sent in standard time.
