Struck down by men in black dresses
Let me get this clear.. Does this mean that now internet providers CAN "give preferential treatment to some sites by speeding up or slowing down consumer access".?
How is that acceptable? Doesn't such practice border on giving internet providers control over what you do and do not have access to? On what basis? Doesnt that border on controlling free speech? HOW IS THAT RIGHT?
I dont undetstand the reasonings or legitimacy behind this decision at all.
You do need government control over some things. You can't trust big corporations, whose sole purpose is to make money, to do the right thing in general. They'll only do the right thing for themselves and their billionaire friends.
Those that say that you can trust these corporations obviously haven't paid attention to what has gone on in the world over the years of unfettered freedom. They're just drinking the right wing Kool aid.
