The new owners of BMI state that they will be actively looking for new revenue streams. I have to wonder how this will affect broadcasters, including Part 15.
While it won't directly affect Canada, as we have different licensing bodies, I suspect that the pressure for more revenue will trickle to us as well.

It will mean everyone will pay a little more. And it won't all go to the artists. I hope this doesn't affect us here but I don't think so as there are not enough of us for them to care.

In 2005 BMI came up with a Part 15 Radio License for using BMI music.
