As some of you may know, my station studios (a.k.a. my house) are near the path of the tornado that wrecked a few counties in Middle Tennessee last week.

Thankfully, with a tornado siren literally in my backyard, I was able to get everything powered down before the main event, which went by about a mile away from me, but still did a fair amount of damage to the other side of town.

I got RFCC-Lebanon back on the air as soon as power was restored to the area, and I've been back on 1180 AM using my fairly new Spitfire, and on 101.5 FM using my Scosche FMFreq (yes, it has FCC info on it) for around a week with music (mostly rock) from lesser known artists who grant me permission to air their songs.

I also still record a few monthly podcasts as well. You can check sites.google.com/view/rfcclebanon and check out our current schedule tab to see what is airing.

Glad you were spared a hit from that storm, R.

Were you able to participate in any emergency operation communications or broadcasts?

As I also work part time at our town's locally owned AM/FM stations, the power to those were knocked off before the tornado sirens went off, but came back around dawn, a little bit after I got my Part 15 stations back on, so there was no "all hands on deck" situation like some of the Nashville or Cookeville stations.

Glad you are OK. Looks like that FM one has the Canadian certification too.

My stepson has a GF in Lebanon Tennessee.  if I ever go down there to see my stepson and his girlfriend I will have to check out your station and see if I can pick it up.

May look into the Scotches if I have to move to another apartment somewhere else.

I'll look for the one that has the 1/8 inch Jack on it though.  Unless I could get a Bluetooth dongle to work with it.

There's been a lot of people moving in across the street from my house at this new apartment complex, so maybe you can ask if they're at a place called Woodfalls. Those apartments, plus the train tracks and an assisted living facility are probably the extent of my range on AM and FM.
