Here's a record player like I've never seen! Instead of an needle on a arm riding a spinning record, with this one the record remains stationary while the needle under a tiny VW van travels the groove!

And it's not even a new invention! Apparently Sony originally came out with them in 1976 but now they've created an updated version. Seems to me they should have incorporated a part 15 transmitter into it, but instead it has it's own amplifier and speaker built in.

Pretty sure I saw one of those a few months ago. There was an exhibit at one of the local museums here recently, focusing on the history of recorded music. On display were all sorts of bits of gear that have been used to play music over the years, from an Edison phonograph up to the modern day. I seem to remember seeing one of these, or something very similar. It might have been a different model vehicle but same principle. I don't remember now.........
