Can't believe I watched the whole thing. I liked the mysterious spin on what is really a mundane occurence. It was kind of cool.

To date no one has claimed responsibility and no similar reports have surfaced from the area. It remains a strange blip on the FM spectrum unresolved but documented as we've explored today.
The radio the frequencies, something many of us treat as background noise, can sometimes open a doorway to the unexplained. Beneath the steady rhythm of commercial music and talk shows lies a quieter hidden world, one of strange transmissions, forgotten experiments, and broadcasts that were never meant to be heard.
Whether these signals are the echoes of old tests, artistic statements without signatures, or simply the byproduct of decaying infrastructure, they continue to fascinate.
They remind us that in an age of algorithms and targeted content there is still space for the accidental and the unknowable. Something broadcast with no clear purpose picked up only by chance.

Very strange indeed. Not the first time I've heard of the strange broadcast transmissions though. Probably won't be the last.
The very last post I made on part15lab.blogspot.com 5 years ago, just before I got locked out of my old google account was "AM Is A Crazy Thing " with the news video about that house in Illinois with voices and music coming from the walls (clips of they are used in this video), It's only the video, I was going to include a few other stories too, but never had the chance...
I have several but it's not categorized as such and theres some Im not finding, there's one I cant find from the 1930s or 40s where it was discovered that a cast iron stove that would play music only when fed a certain kind of wood.. There was something about the soot it created would interact in the crevices of the stove or something that made it play a local station (or maybe it was shortwave) - I'd like to track that article down again, it was real short but interesting.
Another was about a guy who kept hearing chickens clucking. Turns out it was some guy down the street who kept a baby monitor in the hen house to alert him if a fox got in.
Anyway, heres a few others I just took screenshots of, but like an odiot didn't title them, and dont feel like tracking down which issue and date right now, but the eras are clear enough...

GAS METER PICKS UP "HAM" BROADCAST
Mysterious voices heard in the basement of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Munn, of 1928 Axton Avenue at Union Township, N. J., have been traced to a gas meter which picks up radio programs and makes them audible through vibration, a rare phenomenon, although not unusual, according to the New York Times. Mr. Munn, a steel salesman whose only interest in radio is good reception, learned through a radio expert that the voices heard on the first floor of his two story residence were transmitter from an amateur radio station about 200 feet from the Munn home. It was found that one of the units of the gas meter apparently intercepts the radio waves and by vibration acts as a speaker. The amateur station operates on a frequency of 1,943 kilocycles at 160 meters. XXXXXXXX

Fitchburg mass., nov. 29. Church authorities were confident today they had discovered the a talking ghost that alarmed miss Eleanor Wagner. Organist at the Pilgrim Church just before services sunday miss Wagner was arranging her music when she heard strange voices talking an unintelligible gibberish. A basement to roof search however. Confirmed miss Wagner a belief that she was the Only one in the office. Church officials decided the electric Organs amplifying system had picked up shortwave radio transmission.

An Alert Public - 'Duds' But Amusing
While many of the cases investigated by the crews of the mobile units produced positive results, a large number turned out to be "duds". As explained previously, this was due to suspicion or an imaginative mind, as the following cases will disclose. It is well that the public is aware of the dangers of subversive activity in time of
national emergency; many serious cases developed by police organizations are due to tips received from an alert and patriotic public.
RID took nothing for granted and investigated every complaint or information received.
Who Done It?
The FCC always has received its share of "prank" reports. Many of them involve reports of the reception of signals without the benefit of a radio receiver. Almost all, but not all of these reports can be recognized as not being bona fide.
One of the funniest exceptions involved a report made to one of our field offices to the effect that an elderly couple who had recently moved into a newly purchased home, were being bothered with some sort of mysterious music and voices originating in their bedroom. Allegedly, this music started at 10 PM every evening when they are
about to retire and continued until they went to sleep. Our field office thanked the old couple for their report and promptly dismissed it as a figment of their imagination.
Not being satisfied with the FCC's efforts, the old couple again complained. After still no further action on our part, we received a very courteous, but insistent, letter from a Congressman indicating that he thought we
should pursue this matter somewhat further.
We took the hint.
Two of our engineers visited the home of the elderly couple. Two were sent because it was obvious that these people might be dangerous.
Promptly at 10 PM faint music and voices were heard emanating from some place in the room. After a few minutes of search, it was discovered that the sound appeared to be louder near the closet door. Opening the door made it still louder. Looking up at the ceiling, one of our men discovered a trap door which, until that moment, had remained unknown to the elderly couple.
Using a stepladder, our engineers climbed into the attic and there near the edge of the trap door opening was an old-time crystal broadcast receiver attached to an inside antenna running back and forth on the rafters. This receiver had obviously been left there by some previous owner of the house. It was tuned to a local
broadcast station. But why did the music always start promptly at 10 PM? The answer was simple - the station shared time with another broadcast station in an adjacent state and always came on the air promptly at 10 PM.
This case was developed by Stacey Norman, who subsequently was made Assistant Chief of RID.
Sherwood Schwartz must have gotten wind of some of this kind of thing for Gilligan's Island. I've seen these too many times as a kid.
