@ Mark Another gangbuster article, Mark! Made me remember how much fun it was to be a country music DJ for two of the stations I worked for. And earlier in life I never felt so proud as when I got a Roy Rogers cowboy hat for a birthday. It's amazing that cowboys got such a romantic image on radio and film, yet in reality cowboys were hired hands responsible for shoveling cow pies.

Ooo, neat article. Yeah, it didn't start with Hank. Didn't end there either. Hard to find a current station in AM or FM that does old school country before 1990.
