By now I guess everyone has switched to the new station playlist (SuperSamba or whatever it's called) but here at KDX we still use Zara because it has been mostly bug free. But all of a sudden the Zara Playlist is not stepping ahead to the next selection. The 'Playing Now' window shows what is currently playing, but when it comes to the end of the song it does not start the song in the 'Playing Next' window. It just stops. And the timer in the 'Playing Now' window does not update the 'Time Remaining'.
I have taken KDX off the air until the problem is fixed.
What computer system are you using to run Zara?
I have not ran into that problem. I've been using Zara since I put my station on air. It's been pretty much flawless for me.
Try uninstalling and reinstall it Carl.
Do you know the song that it gets stuck at?
Look at your playlist....go through it fast and you should on the right see the time of the track. But with my experience with Zara sometimes for some reason something doesn't sit right with Zara and the odd track instead of the time will have a symbol like this ...+... not quite right but something like that and when it gets to that track it will start skipping like a broken record, or stop.
All tracks in the playlist have to display the time at the left to be good. Try the other suggestion and reload it if you don't find any bad tracks.
Everything is back on line and running well. KDX is back on the air.
To begin the troubleshooting process I started the Windows 7 Computer and wondered if the new start might fix it but at this point Zara refused to run, so I did a another restart and this time Zara did open and was able to operate in a normal way, therefore I declared the situation fixed and did not get to try the recommended steps, for which I am very grateful.
For the moment I do not know what audiofile was playing when the stall happened.
