A recent edition of This Week in Radio Tech (TWiRT) discussed the several downed towers in Florida following Hurricane Michael and in one case a temporary Inverted L antenna was put up to get a station back on the air.
We suppose that Inverted L would be ideal for indoor AM part 15 to compensate for the fact that ceilings do not usually allow a full 10-feet of clearance for a vertical monopole.
There's probably no benefit to Inverted L on an outdoor AM in part 15 service.

Carl lamented: "There’s probably no benefit to Inverted L on an outdoor AM in part 15 service."
I lamented: "I agree."
