This video made me think of Mark's indoor installation. Here is a Ham operator living in an apartment with no balcony to put an antenna, so he solved the problem by using one of those antennas like those embedded in the windshield window of your car.
It makes me wonder though, wouldnt it be more effective to just put a proper antenna next to the window?
... Which brings up another point.. somewhere on the net there is a pdf for operating the Talking House, I dont remember what it was titled, but I dont think it was actually published by the company (though it might have been, I dont know), but what struck me about it was that it said signals did not go through stucco or glass very well and suggested putting the Talking House in the garage instead of inside the house to increase range. This surprised me because I never heard that glass blocked (or attuned) radio waves.
