Every week I dispose of 4-cans of vegetation from the parkland hereabout.
Vegetative waste is energy.
Energy is being disposed.

There have been blogs and forums about solar power, wind power, lightning power, and what I envision is a rectangular invention which converts garden cuttings into electricity.
First there would be a large bin. That would be the “input”.
There would be an AC electrical socket. That would be the “output”.
All we need is the stuff in-between which would make the conversion.
Get to work!

Stuff In Between
The “stuff in between” would be something like a matter-anti matter energy converter. Reaction would come from injecting streams of anti-matter of appropriate amounts and frequency rate/wavelengths of whatever goes in the “input”.
There’s my contribution. ๐

Was It You?
12vman,
Years ago when I lived in the Cincinnati area I worked a ham who lived near Mason as I recall. The timing isn’t right since I left the area in 1988 but I thought I would ask if it could have been you.
This fella described how he had converted his entire household to 12VDC and ran it from either solar or wind sources. He even converted his phono turntable to 12V operation.

Not Me..
But, my place does operate totally on 12 v.d.c. (512 watts of panel, C-40 charge controller, and 4-6 volt golf cart batteries) Don’t invert much at all but I convert from time to time. Ran a Rangemaster and SStran on 24 volts through Cat-5 ~600 ft. from the house.. ๐

Solar Curtains
Just listening to “The Bioneers”, a weekly program about revolutionary ways of managing spaceship earth.
They are talking about solar curtains, which do the same job as solar panels, by collecting and converting sunlight into DC.
Heck. What about solar bricks, solar siding, solar glass, solar yard furniture.
How about micro-generators attached to each key of the computer keyboard.

Strong Thoughts
I still need to go through the good links provided by kc8gpd and others for alternate energy ideas, but I think my particular thought right now may not be covered in those links.
As I said in the beginning, there is a lot of wasted vegetation that gets pitched. But add this to the mix….
I have many high-speed rewind/fast-forward motors from reel-to-reel tape recorders, which have been scrapped due to the demise of reel-to-reel tape. I used to be a tape producer and duplicator.
A power generator is nothing more than a motor spinning in a reverse state.
Instead of being turned by electricity, a power generator is turned by the energy produced by fuel or gas, and electricity flows out.
An electronic motor, if it spins, can output electricity, but the trick is to get it to spin without inputting electricity.
Therefore we need to develop a straight-forward means of converting the gaseous output from decaying vegetation so that it causes the motor to spin. Too much to expect? Nonsense. It’s doable, we only need to learn how.
