The next ALPB meeting will be November 16, 2012 at 23:00 GMT (6 PM ET).
The meeting will be on Team Speak.
Topics will be acceptance of the Charter document with the latest changes, ALPB website hosted on Part15.us servers and domain name search.
We considered using an FTP for storage and retrieval of programming content. Latest discussions favor making the process an integral part of the website. This will mitigate the problem of controlling access.
Lefty has been researching domain names and may have a report on that.
Jon Paul has offered to provide space on the Part15.us host server for the ALPB website. Details will be discussed.
Anyone that would like to join ALPB need only to read and agree with the current Charter document posted on Part15.us and let me know you would like to become a member. Contact me, Bob Felmly, at [email protected] so I may add you to the membership roster.
I’ll see you next Friday at the meeting.

Things Falling Into Line
As Notice of the Next ALPB Meeting went up, simultaneous notice of an LPH SPECIAL EVENT, delivering the entire ALPB Meeting from one week ago, Fri. Nov. 2, 2012, was also posted.
Upon reflection and certain wise input from a concerned party, a new and different policy regarding the recording and broadcast of ALPB meetings is here being announced. Let’s start with the history of how it’s been, then we’ll explain the change.
Originally, at a very early meeting in the life of ALPB, we took a vote of those present which bestowed broadcast rights to the Low Power Hour.
This did not take into account the wishes or points of view of future members, and at this point in the discussion I introduce the new policy, which anticipates the possibility that A.) a new member might not wish to be recorded for broadcast, and, B.) a potential member might avoid joining so as to avoid being broadcast.
THEREFORE, I will introduce at every meeting, under the New Business section of the meeting, a vote as to whether to broadcast the current meeting. This will NOT be a majority vs. minority vote. In fact, a SINGLE NO VOTE will prevent the broadcast of that meeting from taking place. There will be no further comment made.
In case a meeting is held but not broadcast, the non-members will be all the more encouraged to join ALPB, as the one and only way of knowing what takes place in non-broadcast meetings.
