Just enjoyed seeing “Pump Up the Volume” starring Christian Slater as the unlicensed guy at FM92 who becomes very popular with his high school crowd, but annoying to the school administration who call on the FCC which descends with three big yellow vans to triangulate.
It’s almost Part 15 because there’s only one hill in town where the reception is best. But by contradiction everyone is able to get the station in their houses.

The remote use of the cordless phone on the neighbors property in the shed was pretty ingenious. That movie reminds me of some tricks people used in history of “community” radio. Remote transmitters on a timer, make-shift stl’s and underground feeds to a remote transmitter.
Cool stuff.
